To start, I had no interest in 3D TV and a collection of glasses to go with it. Also, with online devices like a Roku or an HTPC, I had no need for any apps on a TV. What I wanted was a good TV - plain and simple. I know thin is in, but I'm not a fan of edge lit designs. So I finally come across this Samsung UN55EH6000 with an array of LEDs for back lighting and nothing more that I don't need. Perfect! To top it off, Crutchfield's price was nice and low, inline with that of the top sellers. Add the fact that I get great tech support if I need it and it's a no-brainer purchase. They quoted 5-6 days to ship but instead, just a day and a half later, UPS was at the door! Setup was easy. We mounted it on the included stand and put it on the credenza. The stand has a little flex to it which made me a little concerned, but after a couple weeks, I've never seen it move. We're still deciding if we will do a wall mount. The current position is at eye level from the couch, so likely not. Hook up was a snap, as we just plugged in a single HDMI cable to connect to the AV receiver which does all the switching for us. Out of the box, the picture looked great. I like to read specs, but I don't care to think about them 24x7. As long as I can watch w/o wondering if the color is right or the contrast is off, then it works for me, and that's exactly how it works. The only thing I've really tinkered with are the motion settings."

Great TV for the price

Only had this TV for a few weeks, but it's a great TV at an amazing price point. Upgraded from a 50" Samsung 1080p Plasma, and the picture quality is a bit better, but the overall sharpness of the LED is quite a bit better. If you're like me and dislike the look of 3D, and don't care about apps on a TV, then this is a perfect set to buy. Large screen, great display, and even better price.

samsung only worked for 5 days

LOOKS LIKE I WAS SOLD A LEMON SAMSUNG .SAMSUNG 55 INCH TV ONLY WORKED FOR 5 DAYS . IBOUGHT THE SAMSUNG FROM HP AND I WAS TOLD NOT HP PROBLEM
