I do not know what the first review was talking about

Strengths: Quality and price and the ability to get firmware updates

Weakness: None so far

I have resarched Blue Ray players and they are slower to oad than a regular DVD player. All of them are that way. This is the quickest one I found. The picture on DVD plue Rays are great. I would suggest getting a high peed HDMI cable. the one Ihave is 24 guage and it works great. I do not know why the first person gave this player a 1 star rating. I shopped around and for the price the picture...

Great Blue Ray Player for the money

Strengths: Easy to use. Fast compared to other Blue Ray players on start up and loading disks. Easy to use. I was able to get it up and running without the manual

Weakness: None so far.

I like the Blue Ray player. I paid #139.00 and got a $50.00 rebate. I am watching it on a Mitsubishi 60 in DLP TV and the picture quality is great on regular DVD and Blue Ray DVD's. I am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this player for someone on a budget and you will be very happy with the picture and sound quality. Just make sure to get a high spee HDMI cable. I noticed the...

Awesome player

Strengths: This player has everything you need for a HI-Def experirence. My first dvd player was a pioneer bc it played ALL of my movies, so of course it was only natural that I upgraded to a bluray.

Weakness: None

So far since I got this player from ups I've been enjoying bluray movies left and right. Of course I had to update it to the latest firmware out of the box from pioneer's website. The picture and sound quality from this player are just amazing to say the least.

Slow piece of junk

Strengths: Nothing unless you need to work on your patience

Weakness: Slow, upconversion is poor quality, crappy menus, no internet capabilities beyond BD-live.

I had this player for about a week and could not wait to get rid of it. Bottom of the line player. It is slow as all can be. The upconversion of DVDs is really poor quality. The menus are hard to navigate and sparce. Even though it has an internet connection, it only supports BD-live not Netflix or any other internet application. The USB port is useless as it is only used for upgrading firmware....
